Domestic Violence is a Crime of Politics

For years feminist groups have pushed the idea and the myth that more women are victims of domestic violence on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day of the year. According to Parade Magazine's research, the notion that the Super Bowl turns husbands and boyfriends into raging bullies has no basis in fact. 

This smearing of men as wife-beaters on Super Bowl Sunday dates back to 1993 when a coalition of women's groups convinced NBC to run a series of public service announcements on domestic violence during the Super Bowl based on nothing more than their irrational fear of men in general. In fact, Katie Buckland, head of the California Women's Law Center concedes that such data or research is lacking in regards to any spikes in domestic violence incidents on any past Super Bowl Sunday. 

Yet for many of these baseless and unsupported reasons other than it is politically correct to target men, these feminist groups have pushed draconian domestic violence laws through most state legislatures, mostly based on myth and conjecture.
